I spent all year doing everything I could learn to grow my church's Facebook page, and it grew it from 247 to 527 "Likes" (113% increase). I thought that I had done well. Then Diane took over our Facebook page the following February and grew the number of "Likes" from 527 to over 7,000 in just five months! (1,264% INCREASE!)
Our Average Daily Reach grew from 622 at the end of 2018 to over 75,000 by July of 2019! (12,000% INCREASE!)

All around the world prayer requests are lifted, people are prayed for, and community is created. As pastor, I now receive two to three direct messages/emails a week from people the world over thanking us for the encouraging and spiritually uplifting content that Diane provides through our Facebook Ministry. Our worship services are now viewed by people from all over, with the second-largest viewership coming from a group in England! Who would ever believe that a small church in small-town Missouri could have such a world-wide impact for the Kin-dom of God?
In this day and age, churches must accept the reality that your social media presence is your new front door. And if your church's calling is to share the Gospel's message of love for all and fullness of life, if your church seeks to grow people's engagement with God's mission in the world, so that they grow as Disciples of Christ, then a strong social media presence is necessary.
